Cafè barista and store assistant

Blåbär is a Nordic café, design store, and deli in Putney, South West London. We're all about helping people live a life more Nordic—offering quality coffee, Scandinavian-inspired food, contemporary homeware, gifts, and a deli full of Nordic treats, all in a warm, welcoming space.

We’re looking for friendly and reliable team members (both full & part time) to join our small, mostly-Scandi crew. The role is hands-on and varied: you’ll be serving coffee and fika, preparing food, helping customers find the perfect item in the shop, and keeping the café running smoothly day-to-day. No two days are exactly the same, and we’re looking for people who enjoy a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The part time positions include 1-3 shifts per week, and the full time role 5 shifts (including one weekend day), and we’re happy to offer flexibility on which days you work. Our opening hours are 9-5, so no early mornings or late nights.

About You:

• Positive, energetic, and a team player
• Barista or café experience is a plus (but not essential)
• Organised, proactive, and not afraid to get
  stuck in
• Calm under pressure and solutions-focused
• Some knowledge or interest in Nordic culture

Details:

• Pay: £12.60–£13.00/hr + tips
• Full-time: 30–40 hours/week
• Part-time: 9-25 hours/week
• Start date: Late August / September
• Must have the right to work in the UK
